I'm sailing away. Nick is not. End of story.
Anyways, today, I'm going to be talking about people and their stupidity, because honestly, there are an ALARMING amount of stupid people out there. Matter of fact, I would tell you to buy a gun, just because somebody might do something stupid, but guns are obviously repulsive and out of the question, but that's another story.
The first set of stupid people I'd like to point out are officials. I'm talking about police, fire fighters, school personnel, and especially emergency operators (the people that answer your 911 calls, genius).
Just this afternoon, I'm watching the news and they start talking about some stupid emergency operator that got a call from a lady that had been kidnapped. Now, this was no ordinary idiot, he was an A-class MORON. He decided, with no second opinions, that he should just wait to inform the police, because he felt that she was in “no real danger”. Since when do police get to decide when people are in “real danger”?
One time, when I was about 5, I accidentally called the police, and even when there really was NO DANGER, they came just to make sure nothing was going on. But this guy, this abomination to society, just decides that he would rather be an ignorant, lazy, slob and let the lady fend for herself. Well, that didn't work out so well. The lady was found later, DEAD. So, yeah, just goes to show you that not even the police are helpful in this day and age.
Next to take the stand of stupidity will be teachers and their lovely ways of “helping” students.
I cannot stress to you enough the hatred I have for teachers. I think they are the lowest of the low, just above baby killers and such. They preach their “wisdom” and “knowledge” to anyone who will listen, but when it comes to doing it without a freaking book in front of them, they're completely clueless. They act like they're “top notch” just because they can stand in front of retarded children that couldn't care less about what they're saying, and throw some “big words” around a lesson that doesn't even make sense to begin with. I'm sorry, but a ba-jillion multiplied by some random letter isn't going to get you very far in life. Yet, every time teachers are ever confronted with that theory, they simply say “You might not use it now, but you will when you're older”. Oh yeah, because there are just soooo many jobs that ask you to multiply outrageous numbers with random letters, totally.
Look, I don't know about you, but I know what I want to be when I grow up. I actually have a dream, and as far as I'm concerned, it doesn't involve incredibly stupid ways of doing basic math. And for those of you that are going to give your “what if...” crap, neither do my other three back-up careers I have chosen for myself.
Third on the docket of dumb: Wal-Mart employees.
My father, little brother and I were all out shopping at our local Wal-Mart, and everything (besides the usual crowding) was going okay. That was UNTIL we got to the register. We put all of our stuff on the conveyor belt, and I went with Jacob to the water fountain. Apparently, while I was gone the brilliant cashier asks my dad the question of “Isn't she a little young?”. She actually had the nerve to assume that I was Jake's mother, and that I was allegedly dating my father! EW. How dare anyone...And to actually ASK about it. My God, what has the world come to? Fortunately, my father set her straight, and I don't think she'll EVER ask ANYONE that again. If anything, she's a little young...that is to be working with semi-intelligent people, such as other Wal-Mart employees. Seriously, if anyone knows this lady, you need to get in contact with her bosses and tell her that she needs a little more training before working the floor.
Anyways, that's all the venting being allowed today. TTYL.

My Essay on Africa
But how can a single mother of six be expected to save something that might potentially kill her family? First of all, any and all rainforests in Africa are a big waste of space that could be used for many other things like farming or even as land for hospitals and schools to be built. The illusion that the forest is some magical place of wonder is purely sold so that someone will have something to whine about. If the hippies had not of come in and started moaning about the shrub population in the first place, it would have been bulldozed ten years ago, possibly creating jobs in much of the labor industries.
So now we are faced with a ten to twenty year old problem all because of the arrogance of small-minded bigotry. Where to begin, indeed.
Well, first off, we can take a great step for mankind by ridding the world of pointless tree habitats that protect nothing. The animals do not like it? Oh, well. It is not like they are the ones getting taxed for land they cannot use. Second, we start hiring people to start the production of the many necesities, such as schools, homes, hospitals, etc, that would better, not only the people, but the economy as well. Third, no more of this relying on other people to do it for you business. You want something done, you have to do it yourself. The Red Cross has supported your children long enough. You need food? Get a job. You cannot just sit in your huts all day and whine about how unfair life is. You have to get up and make it better.
However, everyone is aware that the destruction of Africa inside and out isn't due just to the moochers reliant on another hand-out. It also comes from the many wars that have spawned out of ignorant religious babble. Look, this is the bottom line: no one cares. I do not care if your Shell God trumps over their Rock God, and neither does the rest of the world. You be your religion and he will be his. Do you really think getting children killed is worth it just to prove that your God is the best? Any God that lets his children be slaughtered like that is not appealing to anyone anyways, so it is more of contradiction that makes you look like a foolish murderer than anything. Nice going.
I now leave it you to stop sitting around and actually face poverty like a man. And your motivation? How about the millions of Americans laughing at Sally Struthers every time they see her on their flatscreen HD TV's?
The End.

Letter from Lacey Sturm
We are so happy to bring wonderful news! We have finished recording our new record, Memento Mori! We want to thank you for all of your stories and encouragement. It has really influenced us to make the music for Memento Mori what it is. If you relate to the songs, you might be happy to know that the stories you've shared with us have impacted who we are and that it has come out in the music. You are beautiful people and your stories are filled with hope and overcoming and we are better people for having known you through your emails, letters, and seeing you at shows.
We picked the title Memento Mori because even though God has given us favor and your support has allowed us to taste fame and turned us from slaves to kings in some sense, we are humbled by all that has happend because we recognize that we are regular people and no better than anyone else. Our success has been a foolish thing to confound the wise, beating odds and exceeding all we could have imagined for our lives. Memento Mori means that no matter who you are, we are all mortal. There is no king that wont face a mortal death the same as a slave. So kings and slaves alike should make the most of life and love everyone as selflessly as possible, because tomorrow is another day, and kings can fall, becoming slaves, and slaves can be promoted to become kings.
If you've had the opportunity to come out to some of our shows within the past year you will have heard the first single Again already! It should hit the radio in the next couple weeks... But you crazy people seem to know whats happening with us before we do and I'm not surprised to find out many have known the lyrics to Again for a year now. :-) The first verse and chorus did change in the studio! It is a good thing, because the words say better what my heart meant. It is written for people like me, who feel a restlessness to make the world better somehow, but are much to small to carry the weight of the world on their shoulders. Its to say, you have the right heart, but you weren't meant to carry it all. You are so strong, you are able to handle so much! But you can't handle everything all at once. Let go! God's big and He can handle it all better than you! Its okay to let go and not understand everything. I should start a control freak support group... Anyone interested? Maybe this song will help us. I sing it to myself "Only surrender will help you now.." And then I let go.
Thanks for reading this and caring what we are up to. We are so thankful for you!

s I got married 9-6-08 and changed my name because my husband is AMAZING and I love belonging to him.)

Why is Everything a Sin?
Am I supposed to apologize to God every time I'm excited about something? Or scared? Or mad? Because, to be honest, I'm a little scared of God, right now. *I'm sorry*.
Also, why is being gay a sin? Does it not say in the Bible to "Love thy neighbor"? Or did they just have typo, and it really should be "Love thy neighbor...unless they're gay." I mean, it's all love! Oh, wait...Love is a sin, too. *Sorry, God*.
And now I'm finding out being Catholic is a sin. What is that all about? So, is not being a Christian a sin? *I'm sorry I'm Catholic, Father*.
Oh, and greedy people and liars are also sinners. I get this one. But, does it apply to young children? Because my cousin tells white lies, all the time, but she's only 4. She's not really familiar with the word of God, so is she going to Hell, too? And I think we've all been greedy at least once in our lives. Does confession make that big of a difference?
Let's see...What else does God consider a sin?

'Ello, there.
2:33AM.
I'm new to this whole process, so forgive me...
My name is Lindsay and I'm glad you're reading this. This is my first blog, aside from Myspace and a very failed project about the anti-school business.
Any who, seeing as this is my first post, I can't imagine I'll have a very heavy response, but we'll see. Never say never! Anyways, whomever you are, a faltering stray, a mere passerby, I am excited that you are reading this and hope you will be interested in hearing more. I can't place my finger on my exact topic of the upcoming blog to be posted soon, but I can say it will be rather interesting! I only blog about life, and the personal experiences I have lived through. However, I do not dwell in the past, nor does my writing. I like to talk about the future and the events that are soon to come.
So, as you have come thus far, I am wondering: Why not follow me? I pray that you do, and I believe we will become very good friends in the forthcoming.
Sincerely,
Lindsay * Evanescence67
